JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is a crucial gateway for students aspiring to secure admission into various engineering colleges across the country. In the year 2023, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will be responsible for conducting this prestigious exam in four sessions. Known for its challenging nature, JEE 2023 opens doors to prestigious institutions like the IITs, NITs, and Central Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs). The examination is divided into two parts, each holding its own significance in determining a student’s eligibility and opportunities for engineering education at renowned colleges.

Institutes like the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, and the Indian Institute of Science consider the scores obtained in JEE Advanced as one of the crucial factors for admission. However, it is essential to understand that these institutes have a separate admission process and are not included in the central IIT-JEE Advanced counseling procedure. JEE 2023 ELIGIBILITY

  • For JEE (Main) 2023, eligibility extends to those who have successfully cleared their Class XII exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in either 2022 or 2023.
  • Candidates currently appearing for their Class XII exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2023 are also eligible to apply for JEE (Main) 2023.
  • As for JEE Advanced, candidates have a maximum of two consecutive years to appear for it after qualifying for JEE (Main).
  • A notable change in eligibility now allows individuals holding a Diploma to apply for JEE. However, this eligibility is specifically for admission to IITs. Diploma holders applying for JEE must also appear for the JEE Advanced examination to be considered for admission to the IITs.

EXAM PATTERN

Depending on the location of the examination center, each paper in JEE Main and JEE Advanced can be attempted in English, Hindi, or other languages. It’s important to note that the patterns of the JEE Main and JEE Advanced papers also vary from each other.

  6. Exploring the surface tension of water through the capillary rise and studying the effect of detergents.
  7. Measuring the coefficient of viscosity of a viscous liquid by determining the terminal velocity of a spherical body.
  8. Plotting a cooling curve to analyze the relationship between the temperature of a hot body and time.
  9. Determining the speed of sound in air at room temperature using a resonance tube.
  10. Determining the specific heat capacity of a given solid and liquid using the method of mixtures.
  11. Measuring the resistivity of the material of a given wire using a meter bridge.
  12. Calculating the resistance of a given wire using Ohm’s law.
